Who I Am
I’m Robby Ferguson, a Product Manager at Unchained where I help build Bitcoin-native financial services. My journey into product management came through an unconventional path - I started as a QA Engineer at Unchained and made the leap into product, bringing a unique perspective on quality, user experience, and technical implementation.
While living in Hawaii, I founded and hosted Honolulu BitDevs from 2021 to 2025, building a community of Bitcoin developers and enthusiasts exploring the latest protocol developments and innovations. I’ve since relocated to Austin, TX, where I continue to engage with the vibrant Bitcoin and tech community.
What I Do
At Unchained, I focus on:
- Building products that make Bitcoin financial services more accessible and secure
- Bridging technical implementation with user needs and business goals
- Leveraging my QA background to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle
Current Focus
Right now, I’m particularly interested in:
- AI Agent Workflows: Exploring how AI agents can maximize productivity for developers and product managers
- Nostr Protocol: Tinkering with decentralized social protocols and building on nostr
- Bitcoin Technology: Staying current with protocol developments and Layer 2 innovations
